Why Should I Schedule Commercial HVAC Maintenance?
Is it time for Heating Maintenance?
Fall weather in Northeast Ohio is beautiful. Cool mornings and mild afternoons are a refreshing break from the hot humid summer weather. For your HVAC system, fall weather is a simple reminder that a cold, harsh Northeast Ohio winter is right around the corner. Now is the time to have your commercial HVAC maintenance completed.
Maintenance? Do I Need to Bother?
HVAC maintenance may seem like an afterthought. However, checking your system now, could save a major headache as cold weather arrives. Small components, such as ignitors, flame sensors, gas valves and combustion motors, often fail. A strong maintenance program allows you to replace these items before your system needs to operate in heat. Heating maintenance will also determine if you have a major mechanical failure, such as a cracked heat exchanger, that will prevent your unit from running in heat. The information generated from HVAC maintenance gives you time to make an appropriate decision regarding your system.
What Type of Heating System Do you have?
Due to extreme weather conditions in Northeast Ohio, heating systems are heavily relied upon to keep your building comfortable. Most buildings in our area have Packaged Rooftop Equipment, Furnaces, Hanging Shop Heaters or Boilers. Don’t know what’s at your facility? When Should You Schedule Heating Maintenance?
Heating maintenance should be scheduled from late August through October. However, if it has been more than 6 months since your last inspection, the best time is now! Clean filters, new belts and a mechanical inspection, will go a long way towards maintaining the longevity of your HVAC system.
